I finally did it

Today, I finally bit the bullet and cut off my little one's original curls and we went from this:

to this:

For the observant ~ her shirt says " I'm in charge around here. The parents are just for show." I am getting soft in my old age!

oooh, I so remember when I cut my little girls hair for the first time when she was of a similar age, I cut her hair in exactly the same style...and then I could have cried because she looked 'too grown up' and I wanted my babe back!

Your little darling is such a sweetheart!

Very pretty! She looks like a blonde Cece. And my reaction to the t-shirt was, chuckle, sigh, and shake my head in resignation at the truth underlying the joke (she is, after all, a girl-child approaching the age of three..."and in place of a Dark Lord you shall have a Queen, beautiful and terrible to behold...All shall love me and despair!") Good luck! ;-)

Isn't it amazing how a haircut ages children? She's such a cutie, and I love her tshirt!

Give it time and she'll be wacking away at it herself! She is a pretty little angel. I still have the pony tail I cut off when I was in the fourth grade!

What a cutie! I can't imagine cutting my Molly's hair yet. Maybe I'll let it grow forever. LOL I do remember that it broke my heart the first time I had to cut away those baby curls from my boys' hair. Those never, ever come back.
