Hi back at cha Renee! My niece's new husband's favorite beer is "Black and Tan" so there was a bunch of it at the wedding reception (last month). I'd never heard of it -- nor seen it poured into a glass -- so NOW I understand the label!

A black and tan is a combination of Guinness beer and Harp Lager, layered, with the Harp on the bottom and the Guinness on top. It is actually quite difficult to get to stay layered like that. If you don't pour it just right, it'll mix together. Now, it tastes just as good, but the drama is gone! For more info,I put a link in the original post. Blessings!

Guinness and harp combined? That sounds like an interesting combination :-)

I can't get the UK Harp jingle outta my head now...."harp, stays sharp...to the bottom of the glass!"

There's a special spoon you can buy (sold at the Guiness online shop) that helps you pour a perfect black and tan. My husband loves these. So does my sister's husband.

I wish that I liked beer...
