Help, please

I have been trying to figure out how to link to other blogs on the side bar. I also "signed up" for St. Blogs parish, and suddenly the link disappeared. How do I use the side bars? Any help would be appreaciated. I feel ungrateful since others are adding me to their lists. I just don't know how to do it. Thanks in advance.

This is a little difficult to do in writing, so bear with me (Veronica on the Verge came over and I showed her ... that was easy but you can't do that!).

Anyway, you have to edit your template to add sidebar links. Blogger has this as a guideline of how it's done:

See if that helps and then feel free to email me with ANY questions! Be sure to put something very clear in the subject line of the email as I have a very aggressive spam blocker and will miss your email otherwise. Good luck! :-)

Okay, I got the links figured out, not without some serious frustration. I had visions of really gussying it up, but this is enough for me. Thanks for your help.

I am really lazy. I use a service called blogrolling ( to maintain my list. I put the code up in the sidebar for blogrolling, and then I installed the one-click add link feature to my own PC (which I don't have right now so I haven't been maintaining my blogroll as well as I like!).
I manually installed the links on the other side of my page, though - that was a major headache.
Remember that with blogger, you have to republish after the changes or you will lose them! I also suggest that you keep a copy of your template in your docs file (just copy and paste it into a word processing doc) in case you really screw up while playing around.

Alicia, I forgot about using blogrolling for a sidebar. I use it to check RSS feeds but not the sidebar ...
