So that you'll remember what it was like to have your body all out of whack and your moods swinging like a pendulum.
Unfortunately, what usually seems to happen is that both parent and child go insane at the same time and say things they will later regret to each other until years later, when maturity and lack of estrogen catch up with them and they forgive each other.
Or maybe that's just my family. ;-)
An opportunity for penance. That's the only theological answer I can come up with! : )

No Kate, it isn't just your family, trust me, and do I ever agree with what you said! And ah, as we recall those adolescent years...sometimes I don't wonder if it's some sort of payback.....:)

There HAS to be reasons for PMS and also PERI-MENOPAUSE. GOD just doesn't DO these things...I know there must be............................:)
Looks like I have some penance to look forward to when ALL my kids become teenagers at about the SAME TIME (kids' ages now: 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 3 months). Man, I better start getting holy NOW!!!!!!
